Hi, I’m Jim Corbett
One day I woke up and had suddenly turned 65 and realized there was a whole lot more to this planet that I needed to discover. This is a website about a few of my wee wanders.
I have always been involved in creative spheres and inspired by the great outdoors. Upon turning 65 last year, I realized it was high time to hit the trail and explore some of the things on my bucket list, which initially included hiking the West Coast Trail on Vancouver Island. Inspired by this adventure I wrote about it in the Globe and Mail. I have since been down to Patagonia and recently trekked across the top of Iceland, along the Laugavegur Trail.
For years I worked in the Animation Industry and in Broadcast before that, always more on the technical side but never as a writer. Pivoting to this passion to write about my adventures, I took a Photojournalism course at Langara College in Vancouver and look forward to telling more of my stories.
